We are always fine tuning our post processing methods and I thought I’d take a second to share what we’ve been doing. I have been found guilty of spending too much time on one photograph trying to tweak it to perfection. When there are sometimes hundreds more photographs to go you quickly realize time is not going to allow you this luxury. What we’ve been doing are very simple adjustments that bring the photograph up to a state of good contrast and exposure. We’ll also throw in our secret recipe for sharpening and within 30-60 seconds we’ll have a photograph that is perfect to our eyes! Here are a couple of examples of some before and after shots that were around a quarter to half a stop underexposed. After a quick “curves” adjustment in photoshop and a little sharpening I’m ready to send it out.
Lana will be our beautiful example from a wedding we shot back in September for my good friend Kevin.
