Film :: Here to Stay :: Lucky Soda Iowa Photographers

Just wanted to share some recent shots on a wonderful new(to me) camera.  Mamiya 645 with an 80mm 1.9. Films used were just Kodak Ektar 100 and Fuji 400H.

Ruth :: Newborn :: Lucky Soda Iowa Newborn Photographers

Visiting hospitals to see newborns is at the top of my list of things I love to photograph. Simple and beautiful. I especially love the family interaction. Liz gave birth to a beautiful little girl on October 3rd. This is also special to us as Lydia shares the same birthday!  Congratulations Liz and Josh. She’s absolutely beautiful!

Keuka :: Lucky Soda Iowa Commercial Photographer

Wind energy and sixty foot Genie boom lifts. That’s my idea of a good time – or at least what was involved during this commercial shoot for an alternative energy company named Keuka.  I must say, the sky was absolutely perfect for both days of the shoot in Garner, Iowa. We had several hours outside during dusk and then the following morning during dawn to get some of the best light possible. There were a lot of images captured and below is just a snippit.

After the shoot we all headed out to Northwestern Steakhouse in Mason City, Iowa. By far, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Absolutely ridiculous.

Hope you all had an excellent weekend! We’ll be posting lots of beautiful baby photographs as well as two additional weddings currently sitting in queue. Keep checking back!

Natalie and Greg :: Engaged :: Lucky Soda – Iowa Wedding Photographers

“Sometimes I dream that I’m doing standup comedy.” – Natalie

When I heard Natalie say the above line I knew it had to be part of this post. You guys were an absolute blast!

Natalie and Greg are originally from Iowa but they both currently reside in the great state of Ohio. When we asked them what we could do to help make this session meaningful and what their interests were, Natalie responded with “sports and going out”. So we schedule to have a few minutes inside Principal Park where the Iowa Cubbies play and hit it off from there. It was perfect. The weather was great, the sky was blue and it couldn’t have been any better. We ended everything at one of Sarah and I’s favorite spots, Fong’s Pizza. The pizza is out of this world. I promise.

Congratulations you two! We are really excited for the wedding next year!
